The Touring summer campaign promoting their ‘travel assistance’ was a tremendous success. A success rewarded last Thursday at the Mixx Awards with a Silver Award for LBi Belgium in the category ‘Direct Response’.

The Touring campaign consisted of 2 phases: acquisition of new profiles on the one hand and creating notoriety on the other hand. The whole campaign is founded on the optimal use of an e-CRM and the personalisation of the communication.

LBi created in the first phase a site in 3D where travellers are invited to give certain information (destination and departure date) to participate in a competition to win money for their holiday. Thanks to gathering this information, the personalisation factor could be emphasized in the second phase. F.ex. travellers receive 15 days befor their departure a mail warning them for the dangers on holiday and this in the language of their destination.

LBi was also responsible for creating the interactive videos and the mini sites representing the atmosphere and content adapted to the travellers’ destination aiming at sensitizing them to the risks you run on holiday and so try to convince them to sign the ‘travel assistance’ of Touring.

After the tremendous success of the TA summer campaign 2008, Touring is back again with the second phase of this new action.

Touring TA Summer 2009

After gathering information on potential customers during the phase I (e-mail, date of departure in vacation, and destination), an e-mail has been sent in the language of their destination. Yes, we did translate this special message in 33 languages !!!! (e.g.: wolof, japonese, arabic, etc.)

A call to action will lead the customer to a flash minisite skinned in function of their destination.
And Yes again, we did skin 16 home pages !!!! related to world zones and main belgian vacation destination. (e.g.: France, Spain, Turkey, North africa, etc.)

Home pages contain :
- The explanation of product’s advantages
- A funny interactive video
- A testimonial video
- A foto and an object which illustrate the destination
- A send to a friend
- Some tips
- A call to action to the product page

This promotional action is of course supported by a huge bannering campaign.

‘April 09, Touring launches the first part of his Travel Assistance summer promotion campaign : /
Touring innovates by launching an amazing 3D animation based website. The goal : get visitors data – (Where en when are they going on holiday) – in maximum 4 clics
The second part will consist out of sending dedicated emailing with as objective to turn prospects into customers.
