The DRM contraversy is increasing.

Steve Jobs, said he wanted to put an end to DRM of songs sold on iTunes Music Store. This would encourage sales of digital music on Internet. Read more
However, Microsoft, who makes the Zune (”competitor” of ipod), had a clear answer: the DRM are important. Microsoft will continue concentrating on legal and paying online music in order to better compete with Apple.
The major music companies also have different opinions.
EMI is seriously thinking about stopping the DRM on its music files on the Internet to go back to the MP3 format, contrary to Warner, who doesn’t event want to think about it.

Most are really happy with a possible end of the DRM. To be continued.
