LBi Belgium designed Toyota’s European site, dedicated entirely to journalists and is at this moment busy finishing the virtual « press room » of Lexus (available before the end of the year).

These Online media centers contains information on Toyota & Lexus business activities and products, environmental solutions & technology and were, amongst others, created through the use of the Microsoft’s SharePoint platform.

A considerable amount of custom changes where made, another strong feature of the agency. Specific attention was given to the usability of the sites.

Agency of the Year

LBi was attributed the « Interactive Agency of the Year 2008 » award, during the Mixx Awards last Thursday 24th October.

This prestigious distinction is given to the agency that profiles itself the best during 2008, judged according to the high level of realizations presented to the jury. LBi didn’t only wheel in this title, it also received a “Golden Award” for the Oufti project (Proximus) in the “Product Launch” category and a “Bronze Award” for the Minibreaks project (Thomas Cook Belgium).

The Mixx Awards are a result of the collaboration between the Belgian IAB, the International Advertising Bureau, and Best of Publishing, editor of the Inside Magazine. The Mixx Awards aim at rewarding those digital and interactive campaigns that reached their communicational objectives. The criteria of attribution take into account the observed links within the project between creativity and efficiency.

« Interactive Agency of the Year 2008 »: — this award is based upon the quality, creativity and efficiency of the entirety of the projects submitted to the jury. It thus recognizes the high quality approach used by LBi to serve its current clients base.

Today is a regular day but a special day too … Today, we change the brand to LBi
Letter has been sent to all prospects and customers,
Press release has been sent to most Belgian journalists, and are available here (FR / Nl)
Website(s) have been migrated to the new LBI (release 1),
Emails, business cards and mostly all corporate material have been adapted or is about too …
And zillions of small things are still to be organized…

It’s a new name, it’s a merge, it’s a change …
Any change is a challenge. Any change is an opportunity.
I strongly believe this evolution will benefit to everyone, whether in Brugge or in Brussels and put us in a very nice position towards the market.

But a brand is not only a question of logo. And our business is not only a collection of skills.
It’s a people business. It’s a collective result.

We have “received” this brand, it’s up to us to put life in it. To create an LBi spirit. To build a strong recognition around LBi…
Personally, I do believe in people. I do believe in us. And I’m confident we will succeed !

I would like already to thank you all for being part of this journey…

Belgium has developed a pandemic flu preparedness plan, which describes the different organisations and the role they will have to play confronted with a flu pandemic. Through the central site all Belgian citizens can get numerous informations about what a pandemic flu exactly is and what can and will be done when there should be an outbreak.
Beginning 2007, the site got a very nice extra with an interactive e-learning session in Dutch and French oriented towards the health-professionals (doctors, nurses, hospital-personnel, etc…) but also very interesting for the people who want to know more about the subject.
The e-learning module is a Flash-presentation including a one hour animated video divided in three parts. Each section ends with a small pop-quiz to test your knowledge about the previous section. Doctors can even get accreditation-points if they complete the e-learning module.
